Become a Registered  Beneficiary of Awapuni Moana

Once your registration is approved, you will receive your unique Beneficiary Number by email. Your details will be added to the official Beneficiary List (including your name, Beneficiary Number, and associated block). You will also gain access to the secure member-only portal, where you can:​
 

  • Stay informed through beneficiary newsletters and pānui

  • Participate in surveys, planning, and development initiatives

  • Access exclusive resources and reports

  • Receive invitations to hui, wānanga, and special events
     

Becoming a registered beneficiary ensures you are connected, informed, and able to actively contribute to the future of our whenua and whānau.

Why Register?

Te Awapuni Moana Whenua Tōpu Trust holds responsibilities for the care, development, and future of the whenua of Awapuni Moana. To participate in our collective journey, we invite uri who whakapapa to this whenua to register as beneficiaries. ​ Registered beneficiaries will receive: A unique Beneficiary Number Access to a secure online portal Opportunities to participate in planning, surveys, and development projects Voting rights for AGM matters (subject to verified whakapapa) Subject to Trust Order review Eligibility for trustee nominations within associated blocks Subject to Trust Order review

Who Can Register?

To register, you must be able to whakapapa to at least one of the original owners of the original land blocks surrounding Awapuni Moana, as recorded in our founding documents. ​ The original land blacks are: ​ 1. Awapuni No. 1 2. Awapuni 3. Kaiparo 4. Te Kati 5. Te Apeka 6. Pokiongawaka 7. Wharaurangi 8. Wairau 9. Whakawhitira 10. Paokahu ​ Some uri may whakapapa to multiple owners within one or more blocks. All whakapapa must trace directly to an original owner, regardless of the number of generations.
